My Mobile App: TFD (The Food Detective)

Description: The main purpose of this app is to provide convenience for people who

a) do not know what to cook with the ingredients they have, OR

b) do not know how to cook/how many things to prepare for a big crowd.

The app is able to show you step-by-step guidance on How-To-Cook by providing you a variety of menus and recipes.

1) Splash Screen - This page shows you the logo of the app. The background picture contains ingredients which show the audience a little glimpse about what the app is about.

2) User Login - This page is for users to Login to their own personal account. Users can choose whether to Login/Register through Facebook or Google, which can save time since the basic information can be retrieved from those accounts, or users can choose to Login using their email.

3) Homepage - This page contains the Search button which help users to have an easier experience. The two main features is "Snap To Cook" and "Type To Check", which will be explained in the following pages later. Users are also encouraged to connect their account with other social media accounts to gain more points which can retrieve discount coupons later.

4) Snap To Cook - This page has a camera feature, where users can snap a photo of the ingredients they have. The Food Detector will detect the ingredients and provide a series of menus and recipes. Users can make their own choices here by clicking into any recipes and follow the step-by-step guidance provided. If the Food Detector fails to detect the ingredients correctly, users can also key in the correct names of ingredients which help the Food Detector to provide a better service.

5) Type To Check - This page functions as an "answers" provider. Users only need to key in their requirements/details: what they want to cook, for how many pax, and their budget. TFD will show the specific amount of ingredients needed and also the step-by-step guidance on how-to-cook. This page serves for those who needs to cook for more people but do not know the exact amount of ingredients to prepare. Usually people face problems like over-cooking due to wrong estimation and lack of experience. But with TFD, these problems are solved!

6) Editor's Picks - This page contains articles and blog posts by TFD editors. Users can read anytime and bookmark their favorites for future usage. The right button is for users to click in and check out the articles that they 'bookmark'.

7) My Account - This page is where users can personalize their profile. The button on the top right corner is Settings, where users can edit their notification alerts, email feedback to TFD team and etc. Next, the "Points" button is where users can see the points they have accumulated in this app through few ways (eg: Invite Friends, Connect with other social media accounts, use TFD app features like Snap To Cook or Type To Check, follow other users & etc). By clicking in the "Points" button, users can check out the discount coupons that they can exchange using the points they have accumulated. At the bottom which shows "Timeline", this is where users can post a status, upload a photo or write a review. Users can also see other users' posts whom they followed on TFD. Users can also click in to the Hashtag #TFD where other posts with this hashtag will be shown.
